Our Story
Insurance Pro Agencies was founded by Terry O'Reilly, a top-performing captive agent who grew tired of shrinking commissions, changing compensation plans, and broken promises. He wanted to create something different — a path where agents could own their book, keep their profits, and operate with true independence.
Today, IPA is led by Terry's sons, Dave and Adam O'Reilly, and supported by a growing team with over 60 years of combined experience. Every policy, process, and technology decision at IPA is driven by people who have run agencies themselves.
We're not the biggest aggregator. We don't try to be. We're selective about who we work with — because when every agent in the network is serious, everyone benefits. Better loss ratios. Better carrier relationships. Better profit sharing for everyone.

Our Journey
40+ Years in the Making
1982
Terry O'Reilly begins his insurance career as a life insurance agent with MetLife — and quickly excels.
1984
Promoted to District Sales Manager at Allstate. Earns top sales awards and leads Chicago-area recruiting for years.
1991
After his position at Allstate is eliminated, Terry joins Country Companies as an independent captive agent — earning top recognition again, but still feeling too restricted.
1994
Terry joins Manzke Insurance Agency in Orland Park, IL as an independent agency producer. Finally, true independence.
1997–2004
Becomes a partner (MTO Insurance Agency), then sole owner. Renames the agency to Insurance Pro Agencies — with a vision of building a network.
2006
IPA contracts its first outside independent agency. The aggregator network is born.
2010
Adam O'Reilly joins IPA as Controller, automating the commission process and overseeing all financial operations.
2012
Dave O'Reilly purchases a book of business and joins IPA as an independent agent — learning the business from the ground up.
2015
Dave and Terry sell their books of business to focus entirely on growing the agency network. The aggregator model becomes IPA's sole mission.
2017
IPA rebrands the network and launches a full online presence.
2020
IPA reaches 100+ agency partners and creates what we believe is the best aggregator program in the marketplace.
2025 & Beyond
Launch of IPA's modern Aggregator Program — combining direct market access, book ownership, and scalable support for high-performing agents.
